Preliminary

Assalamualaikum,
It's 39 more days to Prelim 1. The first real gauge of my ability for my O levels. That's such a short period of time and I am so nervous. I have forgotten half the things I learnt last year, and I will need to revise everything. Sigh.

Peace be upon you.

Art

Assalamualaikum,
Art, is the class I'm having right now. I'm taking a break from all that work. Yes, actual work. Next Monday is the due date for my Higher Art Paper 4, which is the Visual Art Task (VAT). For this year's VAT, we have to make a proposal, a design proposal. And I'm doing fine, I hope. I need to get a distinction for this paper in order to get an A1 for my humanities grade. So, this very paper, determines my future, for the most part. In my opinion, such life changing things such as O levels shouldn't be done in one go. The stress it can cause on a student is pretty intense.

I haven't been able to blog recently, because this blog is banned on my home internet for some strange reason. I therefore couldn't blog about the tsunami and earthquake in Japan in further detail. I therefore need to use my school's internet (now) to blog. Yes, so the earthquake triggered many responses, most of them are of sympathy and prayers, while others aren't so kind. Rude remarks made against the Japanese, saying the deserve this disaster, saying they had it coming were not uncommon amongst American celebrities. It was such a pain to hear about these things happening, but they do.

It's interesting how the two things I talked about are inter-related (Japan & Art) in one of my previous posts. Hmm.

I've gotta go people!
Salam...Peace.

Japan hit by 8.9 earthquake

Assalamualaikum,
I just woke up after a nap to see breaking news on YouTube. Japan got hit by an earthquake measuring 8.9 on the richter scale, which is of quite epic proportions. There's been 29 confirmed deaths, but there's definitely more to come. Earthquakes that happen near the sea are normally accompanied by tsunamis. Tsunamis are expected to hit the west coast of america along to all the pacific islands. People by the pacific, brace yourself. Our prayers are with you.

Salam.. Peace..

"Even when the sky is falling down.."

I was just listening to that. Well, I'm just resting on my bed right now. After a somewhat productive afternoon an evening of studying A Maths, Social Studies, Chemistry along with revising for my Physics Science Practical Assessment tomorrow. Yes, it's another O level paper. I ha Chemistry last Tuesday. I have been blogging on my iPhone as it is really convenient. I can do more things in less time. Though I do miss typing out my blog entries on a keyboard. Sigh. Life.

I watched the trailer for 127 Hours. It's a movie about this man whose right arm was crushed by a boulder. After 5 days, he decided that the only way to escape was to amputate his arm. And that's exactly what he did. It showed that the strongest force in this world is the will to live. Man can overcome anything with the will to live. If that man, who was facing such an ordeal was able to pull himself together, why can't I? I should be able to do a million times better. Humans, life and this universe works in odd ways I can never imagine.

On a lighter note, the joker Muammar Gaddafi, dictator of Libya claimed that he was fighting terrorism. Yes, he calls the civilians who have been oppressed and trying to free their nation from more oppression terrorists. And he is 'appalled' at how little support he is getting from other countries. It's bad enough he's killing his own people, now he wants others to join him? I just can't lay a finger on this 'reality'. It's too odd, absurd that I can't seem to find the line between serious claims and jokes. He should, for his own sake, just take a hike.

Salam.. Peace.. XD
