Wow..its already been a whole year!
Assalamualaikum,
It seems like it was just yesterday when I was feeling unsure about whether or not to attend leave Irsyad and transfer to Victoria School. Now, everything feels very weird, sad kind of weird. Sec 2 in VS is like a really long camp, a year long. Like when the camp ends, we say goodbye and feel sad about leaving each other. Next year, I may be going to a different class from my 2E buddies.
Today I received my report card. Well, it could have been better.I did very well for the whole year, except, my end-years. Due to G@/\/\!(\)G...But, lucky for me I was eligble for 20/22 available subject combinations. Unfortunately for me, I can only take 4 of those due to the fact that I am in AEP. Nevertheless, it does not matter which class I go to, I must do better and better next year.
Life's nice.
After Friday prayers today, I went home, surfed the internet a little. Then, I received a call.
"Aziz, are you free?"
"Er, yeah.."
"Want to watch movie?"
"Ok, what show?"
"Michael Jackson's This is it"
"REALLY?!?!?! sure! Who else going?"
"Me, Luqman (Hakim), and Haziq,"
"Abdullah?"
"Nope."
"But he likes MJ,"
"You know him, always buy DVDs, seldom go to the movies"
"I see.."
"Come down quick"
"Wait la, I need to bathe."
"-__-||" << How's this possible? Beats me.
"Nevermind, you all go first, I'll catch up with you later"
"Take bus 88, meat at Ang Mo Kio hub"
"OK"
It was from Luqman Nur.
One word, awesome. The movie was taken from clips of his rehearsals weeks before his death. He seemed perfectly fine to me. BUT, a website called, This-Is-Not-It.com proved otherwise.
The site was created by those diehard fans of Michael Jackson who were at the rehearsals. They saw the terrible state that he was in. They could see that he could die anytime. Many fans sent letters to the producers to take care of Michael Jackson's health instead of forcing him to work 10 hours a day rehearsing.
Here's the deal, and logic. What do they hope to acheive from the campaign? Stop from watching the movie to prevent the company from making money? It won't bring Michael back to life, THAT is for sure. This is just revenge, for the negligence that Michael's managers had towards his health. Pointless.
Regardless of the controversy, campaigns and "boycotts", I enjoyed the show, and THAT is what is truly important. Michael would have wanted us to enjoy and appreciate his work.
Well, that is all I guess,
Salam...Peace..[(:P)<-<

Help
Assalamualaikum,
It's been an eternity since I last blogged about something. I can assure you that many things have happened. I feel like I've lost my path. Many things happens that put me off course from my ultimate goal. The path has been planned. I must just follow it. If all goes right, Insya Allah, the world will benefit.
Here are some things we missed:
Exams is ruined. All I can say is that I hope I will be able to get the subject combination I want.
Peace...Salam [(:P)<-<

22 July (Pi Approximation Day/Longest Solar Eclipse of the century)
Assalamualaikum,
It actually feels good to be blogging once again. Looking back on my previous post, I realised I've been blogging once a month. I am writing today to touch on some interesting events that happened recently in my life. So its Week 5 of Term 3 in Victoria School. Basketball on Fridays have been going on I assure you people.
Its been seven months since I step into Victoria school, and I feel different. I made new friends, definitely. And also strengthened old bonds. I miss life at Irsyad. I miss the "kampung" atmosphere, the fresh air every morning at Winstedt Road. I miss the canteen. I miss the CO-OP. The eco-garden, dusty but pleasant atmosphere of the classrooms. I miss staring out into the seemingly-neverending field, where Irsyadians have house tournaments, ran around, played "water-bombs" or just hang out. I miss that massive tree. I miss all my friends, peer tutors and everything. To list all the amazing things that I experience, people I met and got to know, things I've learnt and understood, in Irsyad, would be impossible.
Ok, touching moment over.
Updates:
Yesterday I boarded a bus 55 from Victoria School, and guess what, I saw an elderly couple smuggle a dog onto a bus. A picture speaks a thousand words. Since my video has approximately more than 12 frames per second and my video is around 52 seconds, so doing the necessary calculations..
I will show you 37,440,000 words..
Enjoy..
Actually I didn't notice it until I saw the reflection of the dog on the window of the bus.
Today:
22 July 2009 is Pi Approximation Day. The day commemorates the time Archimedes found the approximation of Pi which is 22/7 hence 22 July. Similar to Pi Day which is on March 14 (3.14). There were Pi Pies sold at school.(More puns) They are basically pies with the Pi symbol on it. Cost 1 dollar. Blueberry pies the size of my palm. All proceeds goes to the Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund. I bought one.
Also there was a Solar Eclipse. You know, where the sun is blocked by the moon. It was the longest in the century..!

Back On Track (Posted On 29 June/Multiply)
Assalamualaikum,
Hello again. Its been awhile since I blogged/documented my life.
"...then I'll be so successful, I'll rub it in your face.."
To quote my lil' sis (Sec 1) who is behind me, lying on my bed...annoyed...
June Holidays ended just after the end of the exams. During the holidays I did nothing much. Just went for CCA during the first week, slept over at my cousin's house for four days. Then the rest of the holidays I finished up my homework slowly but surely with a dash of procrastination fueled by first-person shooter games but hindered by chores my mum made me do.
Then there was this slight beacon of hope that the games will go on. Influenza A (H1N1 Virus) is slowly becoming widespread in Singapore. There has been up to 600 reported cases to date and the numbers are still rising. Rumour went about saying that there will be one week extension of the holidays as an effort to prevent the spreading of this disease which by the way is also called Swine Flu (due to the fact that this strain of influenza virus is hosted in PIGS). But in the end, only those students who went to affected areas will be quarantined at their homes and will be given a leave of absence for 7 whole days (the incubation period for the Virus)
Its just like SARS. Well, at least those heartless students hope it will be. Where schools will be closed. But the truth is, this isn't a good thing. "Well, good job Captain Obvious!"
Unleashing months of unblogged events in one post is hard or should I say impossible. So I'll just give a quick overview the way I usually do.
Exams ended, received results, did reasonably well.
Went to Victoria Junior College to do the IP (Integrated Programme) Admission Test. Exhausting. There was an English Test which was OK (stretching the truth there..) Maths Test which was cutthroat (THAT was an understatement) and a General Ability Test which was *sniggering* TWO pieces of cake..(lame)
June Holiday started with great plans which all ended up cancelled.
Sudden Attack Sudden Attack Sudden Attack Sudden Attack Sudden Attack Sudden Attack Sudden Attack Sudden Attack Sudden Attack Sudden Attack Sudden Attack Sudden Attack Sudden Attack Sudden Attack Sudden Attack Sudden Attack Sudden Attack Sudden Attack Sudden Attack Sudden Attack Sudden Attack Sudden Attack Sudden Attack Sudden Attack Sudden Attack Sudden Attack Sudden Attack Sudden Attack Sudden Attack Sudden Attack Sudden Attack Sudden Attack Sudden Attack Sudden Attack Sudden Attack Sudden Attack
June Holidays ended with me helping my father make a draft for a video that will be presented in the Irsyad Carnival on 12 July, YAY!
As usual, I prayed at Muhajirin for Friday Prayers with Abdullah, Luqman Nur, Luqman (No Offence) Hakim and Muhammad Haziq. *Sigh* they haven't changed a bit. With their funny theatrics and little "arguments".
BASKETBALL! is fun as usual. Ever wonder what we do during these basketball sessions? (I know you don't..but who cares?)
50-60% -Throw some hoops, play a match or two.
4% -Rest, Hydrate ourselves
5% -Move away because some "bigger people" wants to play
1% -Watch Abdullah complain because he is annoyed that we always have to move away
2% -Try to get our part of the court back
24% -Do nothing. Talk with each other about stuff..
2% -Try to get the court again
1% -Give up and head up to my house..
1% -???
Quite a satisfying game..I must say..
So now school started.
Today was the first day. Nothing much happened. We were supposed to have an AYG celebration thingy, but due to this H1N1 outbreak, everything was cancelled. By the way, we have a new canteen caterer. Need to adapt to their food which I don't suppose is a hard thing.
Now I have to go to bed. Early to bed, early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise..
Salam...Peace..[(:P)<-<
P.S. Been awhile since I wrote that signature..
P.P.S. Sorry I didn't do an "Academics Chronicles" for my exams..

Major Unplanned Hiatus
Assalamualaikum,
It really has been a long time since I last blogged. There are 15 reasons for this one-month break in blogging.
1) I've been busy, and there isn't much time for blogging.
2) I just cannot feel the "sparks" in my fingers when I type out my life.
3) No mood to write about anything(Same thing as previous)
5) There's too much to write about.
6) I skipped number 4.
7) You're looking to check.
9) Now you're smiling a little.
10) You realise this is lame as you may have seen this before.
11) I skipped number 8.
12) You're dumbstruck.
13) I just moved away from the topic and you didn't realise it.
15) I skipped 14, and there aren't really 15 reasons, just four.
Ok, enough nonsense. Time for an update.
Early April, after Earth Hour, (which I participated in but not fully (I watched the T.V)):
Nothing much happened. I went to a camp. Had loads of homework and projects as usual. Did more homework. Attempted to trick myself into blogging. Celebrated my 15th Islamic Birthday alone. Thinking about what's to come (If you know what I mean...and I'm sure you don't) Blah Blah Blah...
Fast Forward to last Friday (1st May 2009)
It was labour day. I met up with Abdullah, Luqman Nur, Luqman Hakim and Haziq at Masjid Muhajirin. Told Abdullah about my birthday, seems he alone understood me. We performed our Friday Prayers and then we headed to Junction 8. Had our lunch at Long John Silver. We saw this weird promotional campaign by Walls ice cream. I rolled two massive dices which had to add up to the number "8". They gave me a few tries. I finally got it. They gave me a mango flavoured ice cream for FREE!. Nice.
We then headed to the basketball court behind my house. Played for like 2 whole hours, with rests in between though. Ali Imran came in the middle of our game. We continued to shoot hoops until around 5pm. Went up to take a break. Hydrate ourselves. It has been a long time since we last played basketball. Listened to some nasyids, watched some funny videos, Abdullah used my computer to blog, Luqman Hakim used it to check out Naruto forums and Ali used it to change his email password, someone's been hacking his account and spam other people's Messenger. Abdullah, Haziq and me watched "Drake and Josh" and "Phineas and Ferb" in the living room.
At around 6pm, all of them left. I was alone at home. The rest of my family went to my grandmother's house for a visit. I took this time to just relax.
TOMORROW'S MY MID-YEAR EXAM!!!!!!
To be honest, I am actually blogging today because I want to warm-up with my creative writing skills. -____-"" Yes...otherwise, I wouldn't be writing out all this. Monday's English Paper 1, which is composition. Followed by Geography (Tuesday) , Higher Malay Paper 1 and 3 (Wednesday), Science (Thursday), Mathematics (Friday). That is just this week.
Unlike in Irsyad, I only have two weeks of exams with ony one subject each day. Last time I had 2 subjects a day for 2 whole weeks. Big change. New experience. Learn everything you can from this school, Aziz.
You won't know what I mean. Until the time comes for me to blog about it.

Finally

Sorry I haven't updated my blog for quite some time. There was a lot that I could blog about but I just didn't feel like it.
Today, Monday, 23 March 2009, school finally began after the March School Holidays which I didn't do much on. Except on Wednesday, I got a surprise visit from my friends. They did some filming for their malay project and then we played basketball.
Today, at school, in the morning, there was this briefing for the E-Learning exercise we will be doing tomorrow and on Wednesday. This means I won't be going to school, instead I'll be studying at home online. (Grinning)
After the briefing, there was a photo-taking session. We took a class photo together. I will try to upload the picture as soon as I get a copy.
During Geography, our teacher showed us some video about the upcoming event:"Earth Hour". People from around the world are to vote against climate change by switching off all the lights from 8.30PM to 9.30PM local time on 28th of March 2009. Here's the link: Earth Hour
After that was recess and then Biology. It went well. Then there was Malay. We had a drama workshop. We played some on some traditional Malay drums. It was quite some fun. Maths later on was as usual, doing loads of exercises, some very simple and some which were made to kill.
Right now, I can't wait to stay at home tomorrow, but I am dreading the online lessons as I heard that there is a lot of exercises and work to be done.

Pie
Assalamualaikum,
That's not the way I'm supposed to spell my title but you probably wouldn't understand when I say "Pi". Or maybe you do. 14 March is International Pi Day. Why 14 March?
3.14=March 14
My school organised this mini-competition to recite 50 digits of Pi. I decided to take part. I just memorised the numbers and went for it. And me and 9 others managed to recite all 50 digits without a single mistake. It was nerve-wrecking. For even if I made a single mistake, I am out.
Now that I've won, I have yet to see my "attractive prizes". Nevermind..back to life..
I am feeling very sick. Not sick of school or life or any other thing. Just sick. Come to think of it, I haven't been sick for quite some time. Nor did I have my sneezing fits at all. Maybe half a year or less. Could it be? My sinus is cleared?
*Dramatic Music*
I am having a major headache, 3 mouth ulcers, a terribly sore throat and a steadily rising fever.
"Sigh" I got to do my homework.
Salam..peace [(:P)<-<
P.S. I own a "Mac" now...XD
